Coup and Attempts
In whatever stage of its being, a coup is always headline material everywhere. No self-respecting nation would pass up on such earth-shaking news. Not so in the Philippines, who has had one too many already. Conceivably the greatest indication that no one took such matter seriously was the fact that security forces did not fall over each other to try and promptly secure the president. On the contrary, the president exposed herself in public, doling cash and sympathy. Although the people are not past the stage wherein they would no longer be concerned about impending threats of political upheaval, they just needed a break from this type of madness. When people find it increasingly expensive to get to where they hope to earn money which they have to pay through the nose for food that is hardly there, it simply is no time to experiment with new political equations. Nanny surveillance system is much less complicated than politics.
