The Efficiency of United Nations

feature photo

The United Nations had played a critical role in maintaining a balance of authority all over the world to prevent any future outbursts of world wars. However, as the time passed by, the UN’s credibility has been overpowered by the narrow minds of every country’s governing body.

When the United States attacked Iraq in an internationally unconstitutional war during the year 2004, the effectiveness of the UN’s role as a peace liaison has been destroyed. No matter how much power the UN has, its ability to do its job is still dependent on the compliance of the government to do what has been advised. Unfortunately, because it lacks political will, the United Nations has not done so much other than speak for what should and should not be occurring around the world.
