Also, there is an aim to increase the number of American volunteers from its current population of about 5% to 15% in the next two years.
How the Organization Works
The Peace Corps was organized for the promotion of world peace and forging friendships that will be made available to all countries or regions who are interested. Qualified men and women coming from the United States are enjoined to serve abroad even under difficult conditions as called for. They will be assigned abroad in order to help the people from other various countries and in those areas where there is an existing need for a trained manpower.
It works by making an announcement of its availability addressed to various foreign governments. Upon the government’s awareness of the corps’ offer, they then determine the areas where the organization may be involved in. After that, the organization will find the appropriate match among its applicants who could fulfill the need.
